Privacy Policy

LUCIEN is a private membership society. We collect only what is necessary to operate the society and facilitate your membership. We do not sell personal information.

Information We Collect

When you apply for membership or create an account, we may collect:

• Full name and email address
• Phone number and city of residence (optional)
• Professional background and company affiliation
• Social handles (Instagram, LinkedIn) if voluntarily provided
• Dietary or accessibility notes relevant to events you attend
• Event RSVP details and attendance history within the society
• Referral codes and the member who introduced you

Payment Information

Membership billing is processed exclusively through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. LUCIEN does not store credit card numbers, CVV codes, or full payment card details on its servers.

Stripe stores your payment method on our behalf under their Privacy Policy. We retain only a Stripe Customer ID and a reference to your saved payment method, which allows us to process approved membership charges.

How We Use Your Information

• To review your application and determine membership eligibility
• To manage your membership, billing, and event access
• To communicate with you about events, announcements, and concierge matters
• To maintain the member directory (visible only to other active members)
• To operate and improve the society

Directory Visibility

Active members are listed in the private LUCIEN member directory, which is accessible only to other verified active members. Your profile in the directory may include your name, city, and profession. You may request to be removed from the directory at any time by contacting the concierge.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with the following service providers, solely to operate the society:

• Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
• Stripe — payment processing
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Netlify — website hosting

Each provider is bound by their own privacy and security commitments. We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your membership is active and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping purposes. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or legitimate business obligations (such as payment records).

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent for optional communications

Cookies

The LUCIEN portal uses browser local storage to maintain your authenticated session. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Stripe may set cookies in connection with payment processing, governed by their own policy.

Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access to member data is restricted to authorized LUCIEN administrators. Authentication is managed through Supabase with industry-standard JWT-based sessions.

Children

LUCIEN membership is restricted to individuals 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the society evolves. Material changes will be communicated to active members by email. Continued use of the portal after such notice constitutes acceptance.
